English Department of the School of Foreign Langauges and Cultures was founded in 1997. It recruits English majors and offers English (International Business) leading to bachelor’s degrees, aiming at producing qualified graduates with language and academic excellence and building all our discipline into high level standard.      

English Department aims to equip our students with a good command of English, a broad range of knowledge, leadership skills, international vision and the abilities to learn, think critically, create and cooperate.    

       English Department has developed a faculty with high-level teaching and academic competence, rich teaching experiences and strong devotion to their work. Currently, English Department has 22 full-time faculty members, including 2 full professors and 12 associate professors and 8 lecturers. Such a strong faculty has earned good reputation for English Department.
